Update

Nothing too exciting is going on these days. Tyler is back to school and Spencer, Garret and I are just trying to stay happy and busy. We have tried to get out at least once a day even if it is just a walk. I have been taking Garret over to some of his friends houses to play and we go walk around stores sometimes. This may not sound like much but when i first had the two kids I didn't think I would ever be able to leave the house. Anyway, school is going well for Tyler he really enjoys the hands on classes. He has a three day weekend this weekend. We are still working out the details of what we are going to do but the current plan is to go to the Corning glass museum and the fingerlakes. I am pretty excited about this. So hopefully I will have something exciting to post about soon. For now I will just put up a few new pics of the cute baby who is growing up way to fast.

If you are wondering why there are no Garret pictures- he was being stubborn (He is almost two and very proud of his independence)

Who is Who ?

Maybe it's just me but I think that both of my boys look a little bit alike-

I can tell their pictures apart but can you tell which picture is Garret and which picture is Spencer?!

Growing. . Growing. . . Gone

We have been trying to get up at 6 to go walking in the mornings. This morning it was really hot and humid. Tyler was getting pretty sticky- so when we got home he decided it was time for the hair to go. Take a look-

It's Back to School

Tyler had orientation all this week, he was gone quite a bit but not as much as he will be gone this coming week. It gave me a chance to really test my parenting of two ability. Pretty much I need a nanny- but everyone is alive and well and since we can't afford a nanny I guess we will just have to wing it. It was a good week though. There are a lot of social events during orientation week. We went to BBQ's and ice cream socials, Tyler played in a baseball game (he hit the winning ball !). Tyler and I played volleyball on Saturday. I am pretty out of shape but it was a lot of fun. I really miss the game. I am so glad that I played growing up. Not only do I love the game but I have a lot of great memories playing (especially with my family- hey Dad remember the Capital game!)

I am nervous for real school to start but I am so thankful I have such a great husband. Tyler always makes time for us. I know I can count on seeing him as much as he possibly can be here so that makes this coming year seem better. I am also so glad for my fellow dental wife friends. It is so great having other people to spend time with and vent with.

About my kids- because I am sure that everyone reading this wants to know how they are doing!!! Garret is saying more things all the time. He came up to me the other day and pointed to himself and said "me cute". When we ask him how long he is going to love us he says "Forever" its pretty cute and whenever he sees and airplane he says "airplane, high in sky. . . apple juice" he had apple juice when he flew. He still doesn't like nursery, we just don't know what to do about that. He is never shy except there. he did good last Sunday but had a hard time again today. He was really tired though. He kept saying "night, night. . Please".

Spencer gets bigger everyday. He has started smiling more. Today Garret was making faces at him and he was just smiling back. He is getting on a better schedule. He is taking a couple good naps a day (usually when garret naps) and they are both down by seven. He seems to be past the baby acne stage and his skin is such a nice olive color I hope it stays. He looked so much more like Garret the chubbier he gets. It might be because I am their mom but I think my babies are sooooo cute.

One other side note- tonight we had lasagna that my Mom helped me make when she was here- Thanks Mom!

Our Last Day

Tomorrow Tyler heads back to school, the first few days of orientation so it won't be as bad but come Monday he is gong to be so busy. We decided to get some things done around the house today and then tonight since we didn't get to go camping this summer we decided to pretend in our backyard. The kids loved it and we thought it was pretty great too.

Mom knows best

Today I learned why my Mom always said to separate you dark clothes from your white clothes- unfortunately I learned the hard way and now I have a lot of pink clothes!

Rochester

We decided to head off to Rochester yesterday. First we went to the Susan B. Anthony house. We are a little dorky but we really enjoyed it. I love history!
Then after visiting some sights from Tylers mission (including where he got hit by the car) we drove north to Lake Ontario. They had the nicest park there. It had a sandy beach, a play ground a lot of covered pavillions and best of all--- A carousel that was over 100 years old. It is all original, the horse tails are made from real horse hair and it was all hand carved. We thought that was pretty exciting. Garret loves riding them and this time he picked to ride on a pig.
After Lake Ontario we decided to take the scenic route back. We drove through a bunch of little towns, got dinner and ice cream in Spencerport, picked up produce at a little stand.

It was such a fun day. It seems like everything we do as a family is fun- we sure are going to miss tyler when he heads back to school.

He is growing up to fast

Both of my Boys are growing up so fast. Spencer currently weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces and is in the 90 percentile for height and weight. And Garret just had his first accident in Big Boy Underwear. Why can't they just stay little?

The Past Two Weeks

It has been a while since I updated this. Life has been a little crazy but a lot of fun. Tylers family came to visit. It was really good seeing them. While they were here we went to the hill cumorah pagent, played a few games, took family pics., mini golfed, but most important we spent some good quality time together. Garret enjoyed having all the family around. He liked showing off our garden and having so many people to play with. We are so glad that we got to have everyone here to visit.

Then last week we went to Washington state to be with my family and to go to my little sisters wedding. Her wedding day was a little crazy (someone forgot the marriage license) but it turned out to be a beautiful day and my little sister is married. I love you Leah!!! While we were there we also did some kayaking, water tubing, tyler helped my dad with his deck, we got to watched Garret and Spencer with their cousins. It was so fun.

The flights were a bit of an adventure. on the way to washington we took a later flight in order to get reimbursed our flight money. we started in Buffalo, went to Chicago on to Los Angelas, then Sacramento and finally Seattle. The kids did surprisingly well. The way back was a different story. Garret got sick on the flight from Vegas to Buffalo. it was a long flight but we made it and it is so good to be home. We loved seeing everyone all summer but its nice to have our house back and we are excited to try and get our kids back on schedule and enjoy some time together before tyler goes back to school. I dont want him to go back- It so much more fun when he is around all the time. I will have to post pics another time.

Its good to be home!
