Memories

I know i have a million things to put on my blog but I can't do pictures from this computer so you will all have to wait to hear about our adventures til we get home. This will be fun in the meantime.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together (either with just me, just tyler, or the both of us!). It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Temple, Fourth of July and Work

I am way behind so these posts might be short- we are having a great time though!  Tyler, Tia and I took a quick trip to the Rexburg Temple!  It is so beautiful, I wish it had been there when we were living there.  I am so jealous of people that have a temple in their backyard! The temple was being built when we moved so we were so excited to see it done.

We started working on our little cleaning project Thursday (July 3) and worked on it off and on until we left Rexburg.  It kept us pretty busy but at least we got to be together while we were there.  I won't miss the job but we are grateful that we got to work there.

The fourth of July was so fun.  We got to spend it with family- there was good food and fireworks.  Garret loved the pop-its and the big fireworks.  Spencer was just in awe of it all.  They were both exhausted by the end of the night.

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Tyler and I had a chance to go on a date today. We spent most of the time looking around at Rexburg reminiscing. We loved living in Rexburg. This is where we met, where we dated, where Tyler proposed, where we lived our first year and a half of marriage, where Garret was born. It has changed so much here, there is a temple, more restaurants, a water park and tons of apartments. Lots of the places that we used to go to were still here and the same. We ate at Fongs a yummy Chinese restaurant and went to Hogi Yogi where we went on our first date. We drove by the opinion center- they are hiring (always) and they advertised that it is a FUN ATMOSPHERE- I found that pretty funny because when I worked there I used to want to vomit whenever I walked through the doors ( I guess I was not cut out to be a telemarketer). We saw our old apartments and we even got to see some of our old friends.

So Cheesy!
The things we do to make money (the stories we could tell about this place)

We went to the nursing home and got to see some of our friends there (we served at the nursing home for a year and a half- we helped with their church and family night). It was really sad though because some of our old friends were so far gone and seemed so sad and in pain, and several of them had passed away. I am not excited for that part of getting old but I did enjoy making them happy.

The boys got to go to bear world while we were out. They had a great time! (Pictures to come!)

We spent the night eating dinner with Leah and Joe. She made us a very good dinner (her cooking skills have sure improved) and we played in the backyard some. It is so great spending time with family!

Playing with Uncle Joey

Spencer decided he likes corn on the cob

This picture is for Steph (she is preggers and has been craving this place- I wanted to send a sandwich)

Rexburg

After a very long plane/car ride we got to Rexburg at about 4 in the morning tuesday. The kids did really well on the flights. The flights were not full so we didn't have to have the kids on our lap (we would have preffered to have been bumped- but if you can't get bumped might as well have lots of room). Spencer and Garret decided they were too excited to sleep on the first flight. To make a long story short we survived it pretty well.

Once in Rexburg we got to see Tyler's parents, Sister Tia and her husband and son, his brother Trenton and my Sister Leah and her husband- as well as lots of friends from our good ole Rexburg days.

Tia and Michael's new baby Everett is so adorable. We have had so much fun seeing him. Garret even got t hold him. Seeing Tyler's parents reminded me of the first time we met them. Tyler and I had only been dating for a month and we pretended to be engaged. They totally fell for it! (I am sure it was all Tyler's idea he loves teasing his parents.) Well our first night here (aside from the one we spent traveling) we had a Rock Band party with some of our good friends the Phillips- we love them!
