More Counting Down and Christmas fun!

One of our Countdown activities was our "Greatest Gifts Box". We read a great story about a boy whose Mom teaches him about giving.  At the end of the story he says his greatest gift that year was the lesson his Mother taught him.  We made a box and throughout the holidays when we think of one of greatest gifts we write or draw pictures of it, put it in the box, then we read it on Christmas morning.
Tyler made Christmas pancakes one morning.
We thought the boys could use a haircut before Christmas.  The guard fell off without anyone noticing.  Spencer's turned out shorter than planned...Garret wanted his short then too.
We opened presents and ate a special dinner with Dan, Heather, Ridge, Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.  It was a great evening and we were blessed to receive some very thoughtful gifts.

Adele knows how to eat candy!

We had a family testimony meeting one night for our countdown (no pics).

We acted out the nativity as a family.  They looked so cute!

Garret took his role as the angel very seriously!
The kids LOVE the night we sleep by the Christmas tree.  They were so anxious for it that we moved it up for them.  We ate ice cream. watched Elf and then snuggled up together.
The boys fell right to sleep.
The girl did not! She stayed in her bed and quietly talked to herself and pretended to feed the sleeping boys, she sang to herself, she clapped, she made funny face and then out of no where she crashed!

We decorated and delivered cookies as part of our countdown.
We have a few fun activities left and then Christmas will be upon us.  I can't believe how fast it has all gone by.  It has been so much fun.

Wow, way to go! You've packed in a ton of count down to Christmas fun. Adele makes a very believable Mary adoring a super cute baby Jesus :) Such a cute idea. Loved the cookies, love your family! Thank you all so much for being such a caring bunch!
