A Thank You and more...

Our new house is a little hard to find and you can't see it from the main road.  The UPS man gave me a hard time about not having a sign.  So a week or so ago Tyler made a crude sign out of a scrap of wood and a permanent marker.  It is very unspectacular and we both have been saying we would like to put a nice sign down there.

Today I drove Garret to school.  On the way home I noticed a new sign down by the road.  It had our name and address on it- but was far from crude.  I hurried home and told Tyler we speculated on who could have done it.  We asked a couple people but we never figured it out.  We were thrilled to have a nice sign!  We were touched that someone thought of us, made us a sign and put it up for us (although, whoever you are I might move it to a different spot- the spot where the crude sign is- only to stay on the good side of the UPS man that has been frequenting my house).  It was so kind of you.  If you want to tell us who you are we would love to thank you in person.  If you don't then I really hope you read my blog because I can think of no other way to thank you.  So here you are mystery person- Thank you so much!!!!

On a different note-

Adele who is just over 2 learned the word "why" and has been asking me why about everything.  It is exhausting.  It doesn't matter what I say she looks at me with her big brown eyes and says "why".   I find the why stage a stage where I am constantly struck by how little I know.  I just don't know "why" everything is the way it is.

Tyler has been working on the most amazing shelves to go around our fireplace and windows.  I LOVE them and can't wait to show you pictures.  I am hoping we can get them done this weekend.  The kids are very anxious to have Christmas decorations put up.

Spencer wants mistletoe so bad.  I told him that if you stand under mistletoe then you get a kiss.  He thinks this sounds like the best thing ever.  He has been telling me all the places he wants to hang mistletoe.  There could be a lot of kissing going on at our house!

Titus has continued sleeping good and I really think he has outgrown his fussyness.  He no longer screams in his car seat and he smiles and giggles all the time.  He is a pro in his walker and turning into a little flirt.

Garret had a countries test in school.  I kept forgetting to help him study for him.  He was devastated when he didn't do perfect on it.  He can retake it next week so it's alright.  I felt awful for not helping him more.  I am thankful that he takes things so seriously but it worries me a little that he beats himself up so much over it.

Adele has been told over and over that LaLa her kitten is in heaven.  She was alright with this for a few days.  Then one day she said to me "I don't want lala to be in heaven anymore.  I'm gonna go find her".

We always get our tree right after Thanksgiving.  Since our living room is still under construction we haven't gotten one yet.  I hope that soon we will have it and the decorations up and hopefully, I will get organized and we will be posting about our Christmas adventures.  I don't want to miss it.  I LOVE Christmas and all the fun activities leading up to it.

Annie has just started asking "why?" too. When I tell her we can't do something, she says, "Why not?". I think it's so funny and I totally agree about not knowing how to explain everything!

I can't wait to see your shelves! Put pictures up as soon as you can. I love reading what is going on and I love being able to picture it in my mind now.
